Cartel Yolo is a ring of friends from the neighborhood of the same name, Yolo. Inspired by their social reality they are known for mocking Congolese society through spot on caricatures. They create their tradi-modern sound through the fusion of hip-hop and drawing from the heritage of Congolese folk. Using French and Lingala, they exploit rap’s potential of expression to transmit their message of tolerance and good relations among the youth.
